(Getty Images)more pics »Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a US Supreme Court justice was released from the hospital today, after she was admitted Wednesday evening for extreme drowsiness when she fell out of her seat on a flight to London after falling asleep before the plane took off. Court spokesperson Kathy Arberg says she was released in stable health.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized for drowsiness and released this morning. (yahoo.com)Arberg said in her statement (via Yahoo! News): "Paramedics were called and the justice was taken to the Washington Hospital Center as a precaution."
Justice Ginsburg, 76, was on her way overseas to take part in ceremonies to mark Britain's new Supreme Court. Now, she'll be staying home and resting.
Justice Ginsburg is the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court and has done so since her appointment by President Bill Clinton in 1993. She underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer earlier this year, but is said to be cancer-free and doing well.
