There are nfl rumors that the Oakland Raiders have re-signed defensive tackle Ryan Boschetti, according to the team announcement on its official transactions page. Boschetti was with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League. He went undrafted out of UCLA and signed with the Washington Redskins in 2004. Chris Samuels joins Alabama as offensive line assistant
Former Washington Redskins tackle Chris Samuels has accepted an assistant coaching position with his alma mater, the University of Alabama, where he will work with the offensive line while completing his degree.
The Washington Times does not expect the Redskins to franchise tag free agent SS LaRon Landry.
"At least one specialist" believes Landry needs offseason Achilles' surgery, but the player is opting for rest and there is some feeling that the Redskins' organization isn't pleased with it. Landry is no lock to return to Washington in 2012. The Skins could move forward with Reed Doughty at the position.
While the Redskins finally know the definitive status of the safety position for the rest of this season — LaRon Landry out, Reed Doughty and DeJon Gomes in, Oshiomogho Atogwe on the sidelines — the future of Washington’s defensive secondary is completely uncertain.
