The 2016 Summer Olympics is upon us. Very soon, scads of humanity's most objectively accomplished beings will converge upon Rio, Brazil, where preparations have been underway for years, whether the locals liked it or not.

But it's not just Rio that's been preparing. As it turns out, swimmer Ryan Lochte has also been making aesthetic improvements in the department of color — think somewhere between the icy blue water in which he'll be competing and the only Gatorade anyone likes.

On Sunday, the 31-year-old teased his new 'do, which was lightened and coifed to perfection by Atlanta stylist Jenn Jones.

With no further ado, here's the product. It's smurfy chic, yeah? The brick really makes it.

"New look....Here We Go," Lochte wrote, hashtagging "#Rio #2016 thanks @jennjonesatl #turnup #lightblue"

Turn up, indeed.

He also posted this badass headshot, rocking the fresh color as only an 11-time Olympic medalist can. And that's what we're going with.
