Drunken Ryan Phillippe Attacks & Berates Photographers

On arrival back to the hotel with Abbie Cornish, a drunk Ryan Phillippe attacked photographers charging at them and abusing them. Ryan is quoted as saying "We're tired and I'm DRUNK!!!" Police were called to the scene but were powerless to stop Ryan's antics as he paraded around like a spoiled child that could not get his way no matter how hard he tried. Plans to spend the holidays with girlfriend Abbie Cornish and her family were enhanced by the couple's appearance at the Calvin Klein Spring 2009 collection launch, which Abbie hosted. Stunning, right? Abbie looks so sophisticated in this flattering dress, though that color should come with a CAUTION: WILL WASH YOU OUT tag on it. And the hairstyle is a little severe for me. Nonetheless, I find the overall effect to be demure and attractive.

Anyway, things went sour fast, and Phillippe must have drunk his face off at the party, because photographers outside the event felt his alcohol-induced wrath. As they tried to take his and Cornish's picture, he charged and lashed out at them, saying:
We're tired and I'm DRUNK!

She's got that "I'm so embarrassed by my belligerent boyfriend right now that I am just going to avoid eye contact and smile politely" look down. Police were called to the scene to calm things down, but no charges were filed. My hunch is that Ryan is currently nursing a nasty hangover and an angry girlfriend back in his hotel room.

Just a quick note to Phillippe: When you attend a high-profile event like a Calvin Klein launch AND your girlfriend is the hostess, please expect to be photographed. This is not out of the ordinary. It's not like you're Amy Winehouse walking outside your apartment to find paparazzi crowded there - this is part of the deal at red-carpet events. I'm glad we had this talk. Thanks.
