Shiv Sena is not backing down at all from taking potshots at Sachin Tendulkar. In their latest attack, Sanjay Raut claims that Sunil Gavaskar is more the son of the soil than Tendulkar because the latter has not helped fellow Maharashtrian cricketers including Vinod Kambli. Shiv Sena MP writes in the Saamna, “Sachin in undoubtedly a great player, but there is not a single instance of him helping fellow Marathi speaking players. He did not even support Vinod Kambli. Shiv Sena is unrepentant about attacking a media office in Mumbai, stating that they were defending their leader. Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Raut, defended the hooligan behaviour of the political outfit, stating that they were fighting those who were criticising their leader over comments made about Sachin Tendulkar. Stating that Bal Thackeray was misquoted about his comments in Marathi in Saamna, the Shiv Sena mouthpiece, Raut stated that attacking the leader was akin to attacking the Marathi Manoos. But it was hard to read between the lines given that everything was pretty much black and white. Stating that Tendulkar may have been ... Read Full Story
