Jason Wood kindly referenced my analysis of Sage’s results in a post where he comments about the US SaaS market in his capacity as a technology investor. Sage has finally launched an online version of Line 50. It will only be available for members of the Accountants Club for the time being. Paul Stobart, CEO Sage UK said: “We are targeting this for accountants in practice. Over 200 firms expressed strong interest.” Functionally, there is no difference between this and the on-premise version. Jason Carter asked my opinion about the results of CPA Technology Advisor’s assessment of five popular ‘high- end accounting packages.’ Sage AccPac 500 ERP achieved a ‘perfect five star ‘ rating.
