The most successful Latin American actress in Hollywood since Carmen Miranda, Hayek has appeared in more than thirty films and worked as an actress outside of Hollywood in Mexico and Spain.
Salma Hayek Calls of Engagement
Good news boys, Salma Hayek is back on the market. It was confirmed today that the 41-year-old actress and baby daddy billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault have called off their engagement.The two announced in 2007 that they were planning to get hitched, then in September of last year they welcomed a daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault. The couple had never set a date for their planned nuptials, but had been dating for about two years.
Hayek's rep confirmed the announcement, but gave no reason for the split. There is no word yet on weather the couple is planning to stay together and work things out, or if the split is permanent.
Either way, something tells me that Hayek and daughter Valentina won't exactly have trouble picking up the pieces after the break-up. The 45-year-old Pinault owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, among other high profile luxury brands.
