This is an outstanding news article about the current legal situation facing Salvia divinorum. I wish more members of the media actually reported on the facts like Christopher Patton has done instead of regurgitating fear based stereotypes that are most commonly conveyed in the news and pontificated by the authorities. Salvia divinorum has officially become illegal in 11 states (as of yesterday). While no federal laws to ban the sale of it exist (it is not on the Controlled Substances Act) states have been taking it upon themselves to pass their own laws.
