That's a big question for a trendy book series that could easily lose its luster as fickle fans move on to new properties, and the latest news makes the movie's August 1, 2014, release date seem increasingly unrealistic.

The Hollywood Reporter reports the movie, which was slated to begin shooting in early November, now won't get started until December 2. The rescheduling is likely due to the last-minute recasting of one of the movie's two leads, Christian Grey. Irish actor Jamie Dornan was added to the cast just last week after Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam pulled out of the picture at the last moment. Dakota Johnson is still slated to play the other lead, Anastasia Steele, who enters into a complex S&M relationship with Grey in the book the movie is based on.

The new schedule gives the Fifty Shades team, including director Sam Taylor-Wood, just eight months to get the completed movie in theaters.
