Earlier this week, True Blood’s Sam Trammell returned to the place of his acting beginnings on the New York stage. In support of his girlfriend, Missy Yager , he went to the pre-opening night celebration of her new play in New York City. The Starry Messenger is a production of the New Group theatre company. It was written and directed by Oscar nominee Kenneth Lonergan, whose highly acclaimed 1996 play, This Is Our Youth , featured True Blood’s leading actress, Anna Paquin , during its successful run on London’s West End.
