Samantha Ronson

Samantha Ronson is a professional DJ and musician. In 2000 she spun live for the MTV New Year's Eve 2001 show. She also was the first rock act signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, where she released four songs under the label and recorded her first album. Although the album was never officially released, a track was featured in the movie Mean Girls. Ronson is a co-owner of the NYC nightclub The Plumm, and is also known for her connections to such high-profile celebrities as Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie and Joel and Benji Madden.

Just when everyone was starting to believe that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson could get in a dramatic, very public fight every weekend without ever actually breaking up, they broke up. Lohan confirmed the news on Sunday, after a busy weekend of accusing Sam of cheating on her and Twittering about her feelings.

Here's a rundown of how the trouble began: The family was celebrating at a party for Samantha's designer sister Charlotte Ronson at Bar Marmont on Friday, and Lindsay wasn't invited. She tried to get in anyway and had to be restrained by five bodyguards. Ouch. In an act of revenge, she turned to her Twitter account to get her point across to Sam, with such messages as:
@jackdaniels9 I was right all along. Cheat

@jackdaniels9 ask ur sister 2 stop yelling profanity plz;; stop doing drugs. and tell charlotte to do more-she could loose a stone or 10.

@jackdaniels9 look, im doing this publicly because u&ur friends call people mag..so-you win, you broke my heart. now go away. i loved you
Now, Us Weekly reports that the Ronson clan is fed up with Lindsay's shenanigans and wants Samantha as far away from her as possible. Sam's mom and sis allegedly asked a Beverly Hills cop how they could obtain a restraining order, and they were directed to the court. Locks on Samantha's house (that she's been sharing with Lindsay for the past six months) were also changed on Saturday.

According to OK! Magazine, Sam's sister Charlotte doesn't have much sympathy for Miss Lohan. She said:
She does these things to get attention. She was trying to get into my party this weekend. We had to tell security to keep her out. Then she booked a room at the Chateau Marmont. Her room was right below... She also followed our brother Mark around.

She got up illegally to our room. She does these acts of public humiliation. It is all for attention... She was also got physical with Mark.

[Lindsay] is furious because we did an intervention, not about the drugs, but because of this situation... It is what it is. [Lindsay] is publicly humiliating [Sam]. She is trying to send out a message.
Her mom Ann Dexter-Jones shared some similar sentiments:
[Lindsay] was doing drugs, and we could not sleep that night at the Chateau. She was complaining about the music and noise coming from upstairs. She was trying to get attention, so that Sam could come down.
