Sameera Reddy

Sameera Reddy is a Telugu speaking Bollywood actress. She graduated from Sydenham College. She is most famous for her role in Musafir.

She was first noticed in a music video, Aahista by Pankaj Udhas. She modeled for a while before and deciding to act in films. She made her film debut opposite Sohail Khan in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. Her role was of a shy college girl who falls in love with one of her fellow students. The film was not a success, but she did get other film offers by the time her debut film released.

After two more failures at the box office, she had her first success with Musafir. The film eventually flopped but her role in it transformed her from shy college girl to a sex symbol. The film was quite controversial as it included a kissing scene between her and her co-star Anil Kapoor.

She has also done a notable role in a Bengali film "Kalpurush".

One of her elder sisters, Sushma Reddy made her acting debut with the film Chocolate. Her other sister is Meghna Reddy. She had a short-lived affair with Telugu superstar NTR Jr.

Sameera denies dating rumors

Handling questions is not exactly easy, definitely not when they are shot at you by inquisitive mediapersons. But for Sameera Reddy, who has the honour of having worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Bengali films, it wasn’t a problem. The actress handled them with practised ease even as she sought to put an end to rumours about Ishant Sharma dating her. Sameera made it clear that they were just rumours and that there was no truth in them. When asked to pick the best film industry among the four that she had been a part of. “I think every industry has its own positives. The Bengali film that I worked in has won an award. The industry here is soft and subtle while Bollywood is loud and hazy. Each industry has its own charm,” she said. Sameera was in Chennai for the launch of Style One with well-known models walking the ramp. The fashion show showcased the best of the season’s collection from the store. Sameera Reddy however stole the limelight with her charm. The actress who came for the event in a colourful outfit was seen having animated chat with all the guests.
