The “Houston Chronicle” reported Friday that the Houston Rockets have signed veteran free agent Brent Barry to a contract for next season. According to the report the Rockets used their “biannual exception” to sign the former member of the San Antonio Spurs. The “Boston Globe” has reported that free agent small forward Corey Maggette has spoken with Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers about him becoming a member of the NBA Champions. Maggette opted out of the final year of his contract last week with the Los Angeles Clippers making him an unrestricted free agent.
