Also on November 15th, there will be a special community event in honor of Federico Borjas~
The National Latino Peace Officers Association San Diego Chapters and the San Diego Police Officers Association would like to invite you to the Federico "Rico" Borjas Memorial Fundraiser at Oggi's Pizza & Brewing Company at the Liberty Station in Point Loma on Saturday, November 15, 2008. For more info, contact Deborah at (619) 895-6207.
Remember, This is Veterans Day. A day in which we honor those among us who have sacrificed for our freedoms and liberties. I realize it can be hard to actually walk up to someone you know is a veteran, and tell them thank you. Especially if that person has a visible, physical reminder of their service. It is very hard. I ask that you steel yourself. As a veteran myself, I know personally what it means for someone to come up to me and say "Thank You for your service". It sends those tingles down my spine every time. For a recently returned young man or woman, it will me more than you could ever say again. Trust Me. Do yourself, and your Country a favor. Tell em Thank You. Two words that mean so much.
