The San Diego Padres founded in 1969, the Padres have won the National League Pennant twice, in 1984 and 1998, losing in the World Series both times. The Padres are one of four teams to never have a pitcher toss a no-hit game, and are one of just three teams to have never had a player hit for the cycle. Last weekend, Curtis and I went to Orange County to see Ralphie May at the Improv. Orange County is just as close as downtown San Diego. Los Angeles is just a little bit further, but still a do-able hour and a half drive. We'd seen Ralphie May on a couple of different TV shows and also saw him open for Jay Mohr a few years ago in Vegas. I love stand up comedy and he is hilarious. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much.
