The San Diego Padres founded in 1969, the Padres have won the National League Pennant twice, in 1984 and 1998, losing in the World Series both times. The Padres are one of four teams to never have a pitcher toss a no-hit game, and are one of just three teams to have never had a player hit for the cycle. LeBlanc, in his third stint this season with the Padres, improved to 3-0 in six September starts. LeBlanc had a rough two-start stretch in June, lasting just three innings in a no-decision against Oakland and 1 1-3 innings in a loss at Seattle. Last weekend, Curtis and I went to Orange County to see Ralphie May at the Improv. Orange County is just as close as downtown San Diego. Los Angeles is just a little bit further, but still a do-able hour and a half drive.
