Because I live out in the boondocks I’m usually able to get a good seat when taking MUNI inbound and that gives me a great vantage point when playing the “Who else on the bus is going to the same block party I’m going to?” game.
Some festivals are trickier then others, but when you start talking about the Folsom Street Fair or Love Fest even Stevie Wonder can dominate in this game.

Have been meaning to post, but since I have been working 10+ hours a day this week (on top of 2+ hours of commute time) , I will have to keep this random rant a short one. I took the Transported SF bus up to Stafford Lake for the first time and it turned out to be a fabulous experience.
Even before they had the web page and it was all phone numbers and flyers, hundreds, on some days thousands, of Bay Area kids would pilgrimage up to this sleepy suburb just north of San Francisco and transform its park by the lake into an amazing and wonderful experience.

Not too far from my place is the San Francisco Transbay Terminal. If you've ever been by it before then you know what a total disaster it is. It's dark, ugly, and smells like urine whenever you walk under it. Thankfully, that is all supposed to change in the coming decade .

I spent the weekend in San Francisco after years of just going to the Napa Valley and bypassing the city itself.
