We rented a car in Seattle and drove up Highway 5 to the little town of Anacortes, which was about 85 miles away from Seattle. It took us about 2 hours, stopping here and there along the way. Anacortes is where the ferry boat leaves to go out to the San Juan Islands, so we poked around the downtown historic district and had lunch while we waited to make the ferry boat crossing with our car.
