Santa Clara Broncos Basketball

Marc Trasolini scored 17 points, including the game-winning free throws with 12 seconds remaining, to lift the Santa Clara Broncos to a 54-53 victory over the Pacific Tigers in a non-conference affair.  

Santa Clara's Robert Smith scored 16 points, but it was not enough to stop Adrian Oliver and San Jose State as the Spartans defeated the Broncos 74-68 on Wednesday night. Santa Clara drops to 7-6 and San Jose State is now 6-5 overall.

Santa Clara's (7-5) continues its eight-game home stretch with cross-town rival San Jose State (5-5) on Wed., Dec. 23 at 7 pm in the Leavey Center. In its last game Santa Clara defeated Pacific 54-53 on Dec. 21. On the same night San Jose State lost 93-69 at Northern Colorado.  

Bronco sophomore Marc Trasolini nailed two free throws with 12 ticks left and the Santa Clara defense stopped a last-second attempt to capture victory over Pacific at the Leavey Center. The Broncos avenged their 84-57 loss from Nov. 22 in Stockton.
