****NO GERMANY / SWITZERLAND****.Sarah Ferguson (Duchess of York) seen shopping in Mayfair. (Bauer Griffin)more pics » Sarah Ferguson (Bauer Griffin) Fergie wasn't at the royal wedding, because her and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas were busy doing a show in NYC ... wait, wait, wrong Fergie. But really, the Fergie that many are wondering why she wasn't at the royal wedding, is Sarah Ferguson (Duchess of York), and no, she wasn't invited either.
But why wouldn't a Duchess and former member of the royal family be invited to Prince William's wedding? Well, precisely because of that little word "former." You see, Fergie (as she's best known) has not been friendly with the Queen and company since divorcing Prince Andrew (Duke of York) back in 1996. You can't just mess with royalty and expect to get off easy!
To be fair, the royal wedding looked like a huge process, what with all the processions, photographers, millions of onlookers and awkward hand waiving. So we aren't sure if Fergie would even have wanted to be there in the first place. But alas, you now know why she wasn't to be seen.
