I’ve watched the Thursday and Friday Sarah Palin interviews and my assessment from what I’ve seen of Sarah Palin during the ABC interviews is that talking points will only take you so far. Palin sounded like a machine struggling to find data it knows is in its data bank but just can’t find. Someone who is prepared to assume the presidency involves should know the nuisances of national and international topics not just the ‘Cliff Notes’ student study guide talking points. This is an example of why Senator Obama is strongly pushing schools to teach wide-ranging education that includes the arts and sciences, not ... Read Full Story

Not since Dan Quayle has it been so easy for comedy writers and thespians to get a laugh from the plain and simple truth. Most folks you run into at the local supermarket are as qualified to be second in line for the highest office in the land as this sportscaster and former small town Alaskan mayor Sarah Palin . I'm all for a good joke, but the country is not in a position to provide comic relief for the next 4-8 years given the wreckage of the last 8 years of the Bush administration. [ Time on Mayor Palin 'Rough Record' ] ""It ... Read Full Story

I’m not into politics. For one thing, I just don’t connect entirely with either party’s black and white world views. For another thing, I just don’t entirely trust our government. Blame one too many Matt Damon Hollywood blockbuster, but I think there are just too many conspiracies out there for none of them to be true. But mostly I’m not into politics -- because despite all the mantras, I still don’t believe that my vote counts; that my opinion is loud enough to resonate a difference. However, in this one particular instance where of politics meets pop culture, it bled into my world long ... Read Full Story

And before anyone asks... HERE is a primer on the "Bush Doctrine." Los Angeles Times: "Palin took a hard line on Russia and Iran on Thursday as she fielded questions on foreign affairs for the first time since Republican presidential candidate John McCain named her his running mate two weeks ago. The Alaska governor also reversed her stand on the cause of climate change, telling ABC News that she believes ‘man's activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming.’ Less than a year ago, she said the opposite.” The New York Times’ Jim Rutenberg: "At times visibly nervous, at others appearing ... He asked Palin, "Do you agree with the Bush doctrine?" GIBSON: Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question. Can you look the country in the eye and say "I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?" GIBSON: And you didn't say to yourself, "Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?" ... Read Full Story

Oh my, I’m about to enter the “No Spin” Zone -- and the long ordeal of O’Reilly-Palin interviews – I think this is part one million -- has, I believe, finally come to a close . . . sigh. Never has the word “final” meant so much. Let’s see, during the course of these interviews, O’Reilly gave Palin a forum to parrot meaningless right-wing talking points and criticize President Obama’s policies (she wants tax cuts, of course, and we’re also on...

LifeNews.com Note: Sarah Palin is the former governor of Alaska and was the 2008 vice-presidential candidate. She is a pro-life stalwart and has won respect as the mother of a special needs child. Last weekend while you were preparing for the holidays with your family, Harry Reid’s Senate was making shady backroom deals to ram through the Democrat health care take-over. The Senate ended debate on this bill without even reading it.That and...
