Newsweek 's in hot water with the editors of Runner's World Magazine , which did not approve of or like the use of their 'Sarah Palin' photo on Newsweek 's cover. A photo that sparked a lot of complaints, including mine : Runner's World wrote: On the cover of this week's issue of Newsweek is a photo that was shot exclusively for the August 2009 issue of Runner's World, in which Sarah Palin was featured on the monthly "I'm a Runner" back page. The photos from that shoot are still under a one-year embargo, and Runner's World did not provide Newsweek with its cover ... Read Full Story

Is the new Sarah Palin Newsweek cover sexist? The former Vice Presidential candidate certainly thinks so. Palin herself blasted the "out-of-context" cover as "sexist" on her own Facebook page . Originally used in the August 2009 issue of Runners World, the picture shows the former Alaska governor in runner's shorts. It was part of a multi-pic compilation that accompanied an article about Palin called "I'm A Runner." According to the newsweek.com, the picture that is included on a cover page was from Palin’s photoshoot for Runner’s World magazine. Sarah Palin As Sarah Palin’s book tour kicked off this morning, the debate continues to rage about what exactly she means for America and the Republican Party. This week’s NEWSWEEK takes a look at those questions, exploring the unique challenges posed by a would-be candidate both loved and loathed but almost nothing in between. Our choice of a cover image this week has also stirred the debate.
