Sarah Palin hacker David Kernell, back in the news...

FOLLOW-UP!

From the Editor:

Libertarian Republican blog was one of the very first news sites to break the David Kernell email hacking of Sarah Palin story back in September of '08. In fact, we were the first political website (first was an obscure techie blog). We were also the very first site to uncover the connection to Democrat Tennessee Representative Mike Kernell (photo), and his extensive connections to "Tennesseans for Obama." As a result the Memphis newspaper interviewed both LR Asst. Editor Andrew Murphy of W. Memphis and myself about the story the day it broke, and used our information as the basis for the lead story in that paper. The next day the story broke statewide and was picked up on cable news networks and papers nationwide.

Now, some major developments in the case, are coming out once again. Terry Frank, a Republican talk show host and blogger friend of LR out of Nashville, has the latest via Breitbart and AP. From TerryFrank.net:

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Three more federal charges have been filed against a University of Tennessee student charged with hacking into the personal e-mail account of Alaska Gov. and former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

David Kernell, the son of a Democratic Tennessee legislator, pleaded not guilty to all charges on Monday, and a magistrate agreed to push back his trial from May to October.
Terry also reports that the Kernells have hired a very high-powered TN Attorney Wade Davies.

According to Terry:

Wayne Ritchie maintains his position at the firm and as many may know, was a former State Legislator for awhile. I’ve appeared with Wayne before on the WBIR roundtable with Wayne representing the left position and I the right.

My point in filling you in on the law firm that was chosen is to show that his attorney is not a bargain basement, ambulance-chasing hack.
Ironically, she continues:

Mr. Davies has also written a piece entitled Computer Forensics– How to Obtain and Analyze Electronic Evidence that you can view here.
No doubt it will be very interesting to see how this all unfolds.

It's even possible that Governor Palin could be called to testify. Which would put her back in the national spotlight, as well as shine the light on the scurrilous business going on with the Democrat NetRoots of which Kernell was alleged by this blog and others, to be a part.
