Killer Hummingbirds! LOL!

I did that with a dinosaur. I had no idea why a dinosaur should be in the story, but I put one in and had it kill off one of the characters. A day later and I'm suddenly thinking of all these great things the dinosaur might do later in the story.

So, no llamas, but a t-rex did it for me! LOL!

LOL! I do stuff like this all the time! In this years NaNo my characters live where there are a lot of humming birds... I mean a lot! like thousands... you can't step outside without seeing humming birds flitting around. It's kind of a paridise gone bad story. Well, a few days ago, I got to the point where I was just sitting here staring at the screen, with nothing coming to me. I was drawing a total blank. Suddenly I wrote down the words: "a flock of killer hummingbirds"; and the next thing I knew my cute little flitting hummingbirds had become mass murders flying around the city in roaving packs, and dive bombing people stabbing them to death with their razor sharp beaks. WOW! I totaly shocked myself by writing that down, and it totaly changed the direction of my story and opened up all sorts of new things to write about.
