Indy Car Racing is back! The split between IRL and Cart was terrible. It took Indy Car racing from the top to almost killing it. NASCAR was a second rate series until the split. A number of years ago I attended the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Up to that point, I’d always enjoyed Indy car races. However, after seeing the cars up close and live on the track, watching them on TV lost some of the glamor it once had. Then the Indy car series made a re-appearance at the Watkins Glen road course. IndyCar.com reports that driver Scott Dixon and Wife Emma Davies-Dixon welcomed their daughter Poppy Davies Dixon on July 5. Their little bundle weighed in at 6lbs. 8oz. and measured 18 inches in length.
“All are doing fine,” says the proud new father, who raced to a third place finish earlier that morning, before hurrying home to Indianapolis for the birth.
Scott and Emma have been married since February 2008.
