A wrongful death lawsuit against convicted killer Scott Peterson over the death of his pregnant wife has been dropped. A Stanislaus County (Calif.) Superior Court official says Laci Peterson's parents, Dennis and Sharon Rocha, dropped the claim against their former son-in-law last week. A hearing had been scheduled for Thursday. Peterson is on death row at San Quentin State Prison. He was convicted in 2004 of murdering his wife and their unborn child. His conviction is on appeal. In his videotaped deposition for the civil trial, he denied killing Laci Peterson, and asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination 195 times. Attorneys involved ... Read Full Story

Scott Peterson told the jury that he went fishing. He described exactly where he fished, which boat he used, where he launched and docked, etc. Laci's body washed up...right there. This one piece of evidence is perhaps the most compelling, but definitely the most emotional, fact considered in the whole case. Scott Peterson was found guilty and he's now bringing his case to the general public in an attempt to win an appeal. He's embraced the idea of citizen journalism (or perhaps citizen begging) and has launched a blog . Scott points out that the location of the body is a crux issue. He ... Read Full Story

Laci Peterson's mother, Sharon Rocha, appeared on Larry King Live Thursday to discuss her outrage over her former son-in-law's blog. Is it any surprise she's angry? It's recently been widely publicized that convicted murderer Scott Peterson has a personal web site, including a blog and photos of him and his deceased wife Laci. A single message from Scott discuses his conviction, which he interprets to be wrongful. Although it's not a crime to have a blog, it is understandable that Rocha would be upset. "It is outrageous for this to even be happenning, Rocha told King. "Being on death row is supposed to eliminate ... Read Full Story

Scott Peterson has been posting material online.  He is trying to present evidence to support an appeal of his death row sentence.

One of the first items that he posted is an alleged timeline describing Laci's clothing during the week of her tragedy.  Here is an excerpt:

"A common misconception in this case is that Laci's body was found wearing the pants she had on the night before she disappeared; evidence that would point toward Scott. The truth, however, is that Laci's body was not found in the pants she had on the night before she disappeared."
