Scott Peterson's blog

Since there have been many people who have been convicted, and later found to be innocent, to restrict them from continuing to tell their side of the story is not only wrong, but totally unnecessary, because those who object can refuse to listen. What is truly amazing, is the number of people who feel, a conviction should not be challenged, in any way. The US has become a very cruel, judgmental, intolerant and irrational society, which is a real shame. I have seen this coming for years, which makes me sad.
It doesn't have to do with spreading lies. I feel that if you have committed a crime, and are in jail, you should be denied the rights to freedom. Inmates shouldn't have tv's or computer's. It is sad when an inmates has more "privileges" that a lot of free citizens.
This really isn't a question of free speech, it's a question of having the privilege of contact with the OUTSIDE WORLD. Every inmate should have access to lawyers, the legal system & any family members that might still want contact but they have given up their privilege to be a part of our SOCIETY & its benefits. They are entitled to have their basic physical needs met & THAT'S all.... they gave up the right to be part of the normal world & normal people.
Criminals lose the right to vote, for one. So, apparently, the constitution does not apply to them. I believe in free speech for everyone, and I am against the death penalty. Life, no parole.
