via Kansas City Star   There was never really a question in my mind but plenty of reports and/or speculation have arisen with a four win team that Todd Haley could be one-and-done with the Kansas City Chiefs . Not so, says GM Scott Pioli. "Todd made tremendous progress this year," Pioli said to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star. "Our whole team made progress this year. Todd coached well under some difficult circumstances." Those difficult circumstances include firing an offensive coordinator (Chan Gailey) and hiring an offensive coordinator (himself) before the season started.  Pioli says that while Haley's current roles as coach, ... I'm going to summarize those discussions in one single piece. If I were to write a letter to the Chiefs' Front Office, it would go something like this: Dear Mr. Pioli: When you accepted the job as General Manager of the Chiefs, I'm sure you knew what you were getting yourself into. You inherited a team in a state of repair. You also knew that the Chiefs have one of the ... Read Full Story

And it's true, this season has some good (which the Kool-Aid passers around here often flaunt), a lot of the bad (which comes with a 3-win season) and we have to take them both. In the midst of high levels of emotion surrounding the recent embarrassment known as Sunday's effort, I thought I'd at least help us state a few Chiefs -centered Facts of Life to give some ... Not so, says Scott Pioli. In a spot with Kevin Kietzmann of 810 WHB , Pioli said that, while he's been disappointed at times this season, he's seen plenty of encouragement and improvement from not only ... Read Full Story

Scott Pioli stuck Haley with a craptastic roster. The stupidity of playing all season with special-team players masquerading as starting linebackers and safeties has caught up with the Chiefs the last month. And so has playing musical waiver wire at receiver. Jason Whitlock - Kansas City Star Read Full Story
If you are a Chiefs fans, go back in time with me for a moment to about eight months ago. Do you remember how you felt?  Well, I do...and it was very optimistic, almost giddy as we headed into the NFL draft. The Chiefs were coming off of their worst season of all-time; things couldn't get any worse. The offseason couldn't come soon enough.  The Chiefs were finally rid of GM Carl Peterson. Scott Pioli became his replacement. The Scott Pioli who...

DENVER | The desired results didn’t come until Sunday, when the Chiefs were able to finish their season on a high note by routing the Denver Broncos 44-24. But general manager Scott Pioli said he has been seeing the indicators all along that Todd Haley was the right coach to guide the Chiefs through these turbulent times and on to better days.

I genuinely love it when it's approval poll time. I think it's really interesting seeing the poll results roll in and especially interesting to read what thoughts you guys put in the comments. I don't really see any other franchise or NFL blog taking a monthly pulse of how the fans feel, which makes it extra cool. Today, we're talking about Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli. Head coach Todd Haley is hurting in his latest approval poll. Will...

Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli and Head Coach Todd Haley may be willing to forgive Larry Johnson for his continued bad behavior, but fans of the Chiefs aren't. After Johnson's recent Twitter-bashing of his head coach and subsequent gay-slurring tirades against a Twitter follower and the local press, it seemed all but certain that Johnson's days in Kansas City would finally be over. However, after the Chiefs initially suspended Johnson for...
