Perma-Pets are unique sculpted polymer clay sea creatures. They are suspended in clear acrylic resin inside a cute little jar with a sculpted polymer clay lid. Each Perma-Pet is a one of a kind (ooak) creation, hand painted with artist acrylics and sealed before being encased in resin. The name Perma-Pet come from the fact that these are pets you can't kill, for those who have little luck with aquariums. Cuddlefish is a pun off cuttlefish which are... Read Full Story
This little bookworm desktop buddy is handmade from polymer clay. It's an apple with an adorable bookworm sitting on top reading his most favorite book. The book is leaned up against the stem of the apple and is marked to his favorite chapter with a bookmark. There is a red heart stamped on the bookworm and a green heart stamp on the apple. This little fellow can keep any student, teacher or book lover company while they're reading their very own favorite book! Approximate size is: 2" tall... Read Full Story

So the election and post-election celebration so back to your regularly scheduled Noadi's Art programming. I recently finished a couple new cuttlefish that were experiments in new techniques. First is this Violet Cuttlefish . I've done a cuttlefish in this color scheme before but the change in this one is that instead of painting the cuttlefish I used a purple blend of premo and super sculpey with just a little bit of painting for accents. The varnish has misty lavender pearl ex mixed in... Read Full Story
Looking for some lower priced gifts this year? I have some fun jewelry and ornaments for under $15. The lower price also means you don't need to feel guilty if a kid in your life breaks them, however I don't recommend my jewelry for very young children because there is a potential choking risk from the small pieces. Cthulhu's Gems are inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and are gray tentacles wrapped around a glass gem. The standard necklace with a leather cord is $12.50, or with a sterling silver... Read Full Story
I love my Amazon Associates account, once a month they pay me in gift certificates so I can indulge my book addiction (if someone clicks an amazon link from this blog or my Squidoo lenses and buys something I get a percentage). Last few months I've been getting astronomy related stuff but this month I got some clay related books. I bought a metal clay kit back in February but haven't really wrapped my head around it yet, much different feel from polymer clay and it dried very rapidly (partly... Read Full Story
I love when boxes from Amazon arrive. This month I used my affiliate earnings to buy 3 books I've had my eye on for a while, Faux Surfaces in Polymer Clay , DIY: Design it Yourself , and Craft Inc . I'm excited about doing some cool faux surface cuttlefish and stuff. The other two are more to help me on the business side of things and I'll be reviewing them on the Handmade Business Blog in the next few weeks. Read Full Story

I now have a good bit of the new line up on my Etsy Shop . I recently got a big new order of supplies so lots of new jewelry is in the works including some cephalopods in pure silver! Trying to expand Noadi's Art into new areas and this higher end line of jewelry is the first step. Last night I set up a facebook page for Noadi's Art... Read Full Story
