The Rules: Blog Comments for Linkbuilding
Leaving comments on blogs can be a valuable part of your linkbuilding campaign.
It does not mean leaving “Great post!” comments on every blog you find. Most bloggers will delete those ASAP, as they should.
Leaving proper blog comments takes time and effort. The rules are simple enough:
- Find relevant blogs
- Read the blog posting
- Leave a comment that adds value to the discussion
- Keep your comment in line with the blog’s comment policy
- Make sure the web site you’re linking to (yours) is worthwhile
Follow these guidelines, and you’ll develop a nice portfolio of blog comment backlinks, and perhaps make a name for yourself, as well.
