An explosive new book about former President Clinton says independent prosecutors were prepared to indict him and Hillary Rodham Clinton for their roles in the Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky affairs. Author Ken Gormley also writes in "The Death of American Virtue: Clinton vs. Starr" that ex-intern Lewinsky believed Bill Clinton lied in grand jury testimony about their relationship. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is calling the Obama administration's newly announced surge-and-exit strategy in Afghanistan "the best way to protect our nation now and in the future." Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will lead a U.S. delegation to Germany for next week's 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the White House said Friday. The White House announced a delegation to Monday's ceremony that includes the U.S. ambassador to Germany, Philip Murphy, and German Marshall Fund President Craig Kennedy. Former Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu (shoo) is headed for a lengthy prison sentence after his conviction for violating campaign finance laws. Hsu is scheduled for sentencing Tuesday in Manhattan federal court. His donations became an embarrassment for then-Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign. His arrest led Clinton to return more than $800,000 to donors linked to Hsu. Last week, prosecutors urged the judge to sentence Hsu to 30 years to life in prison.
