Set Free Soldiers is a controversial motorcycle club originally based in California, but with branches that extend through the entire country.
Christian Bikers Vs. Hell's Angels = Apocalypse Countdown
The world came one step closer to its own demise last week when a brawl broke out between the Soldiers and the Angels.
No one at this Newport Beach clash had wings or haloes -- just a whole lot of leather and tattoos. But that's how it tends to go down when two major California biker gangs throw down. Members from the Christian group Set Free Soldiers were apparently involved in a fight with members of the Hell's Angels.
Criminal complaints resulting from the tussle led to several raids yesterday (Aug. 6) that landed seven Set Free Soldiers and three Hell's Angels in jail.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the arrests "stemmed from a 15-person brawl at the Newport Beach bar Blackie's by the Sea, where Set Free members allegedly stabbed two Hells Angels members."
The Set Free Soldiers like to emphasize their Christian base, but both neighbors and law enforcement agents have said that Christian or not, the Soldiers are nothing but a biker gang.
The Soldiers' YouTube clips (seen here) are about what you'd expect: bikers riding bikes, rocking out at concerts and getting into minor altercations.
Phil Aguilar, aka The Chief, leads the group from his Anaheim home. On his MySpace.com page (seen here), he says:
"I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. I am a 1%er for Jesus. I may not always do right, but I make an attempt on a daily basis to do the right thing to be a good Soldier for Jesus!!!"
Some people would back up Aguilar in that claim. The group's varioius MySpace pages don't seem anymore threatening than most motorcycle clubs' Web pages, and on Aguilar's own page he offers help to those addicted to drugs.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the following weeks.

Set Free Ministries are the realist people I know.They are 100% themselves and accept others for who they are...I guess thats not common for most Christians, so I understand why there would be confusion;/
One of Jesus’ best friends was a guy named Peter who tried to kill a guy with his knife. What was Jesus doing hanging around a guy like this?
When the Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus the bible says they didn’t recognize Jesus because Jesus dressed and looked like the people he was reaching out to.
Jesus was falsely accused because many people hated him and said all kinds of mean things about him. The bible says “beware when all men speak well of you”. They told all kinds of lies about Him and the people of that time completely misunderstood Him.
None of us are perfect but then again Christ came for people who aren’t perfect. There was another guy named King David who was one of God’s greatest leaders. The bible called King David “a man after God’s own heart”. Yet David put a contract out on a guy’s life and had him killed. And the whole reason David did that was because David slept with the guy’s wife and didn’t want the guy to find out.
I understand those of you who have never read the bible but still hate Christianity. I also understand all the haters of Jesus because I was the same way. I use to bash Jesus and say He wasn't real so I hear you. Just know Jesus loves you as much as He loves me so don't worry He will be there for you if you ever change your mind.
