Sex and the City is based on the novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell. It was originally broadcast on the HBO network from 1998 until 2004. Now it's iconic.

'Sex and the City' Stylist Patricia Field May Not Return for Sequel

A Sex in the City sequel is definitely in the works, but it may lack a crucial factor: stylist Patricia Field, who worked on the show for the entirety of its run.

Field is apparently feuding with Sarah Jessica Parker over the upcoming film. Parker has said she'd like the next film to reflect the current economic times, and Field is having none of it. She told British fashion mag Grazia:
I don't use the recession as a reference for my creativity.
Parker is the reason Field landed the SATC gig in the first place. The two met on the set of 1995's Miami Rhapsody, and Parker loved Field's designs so much she asked the SATC producers to consider Field for the show's costume designer -- an integral role, to be sure.

Meanwhile, Field claims she'd love to work with a hot new star: Susan Boyle. Field told Grazia, "I would probably make her a glamorous opera diva. Roll on the make up. Put her in a corset, put her in a diva gown - give her a hot wig and let her go and sing."
