Catching the allure of poker by playing at charity events was how actress Shannon Elizabeth became enamored with the idea of playing poker professionally. The charming on-screen beauty has been invited to join Team Brunson at the popular online poker site Doyles Room which is quite a coo indeed!

Shannon Elizabeth has competed in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and became the first woman to go deep in the semi-final round in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. She will be representing Team Brunson while making the rounds at numerous 2008 WSOP events as well as the main event.

The 34 year old poker starlet has recently appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” and it looks as if romance is in the stars as well. Shannon is reportedly dating 22 year old dance partner, Derek Hough. Rumors were abound during the show, but a photograph taken in April showed the couple cuddling on a beach in Malibu with a kiss ensuing shortly after.
