Shannon Elizabeth Is Not Really a Responsible Pet Owner

Actress, and former Dancing With the Stars contestant Shannon Elizabeth is apparently into handing out dogs she can't care for.

TMZ reports that one of Elizabeth's four dogs killed a maltese teacup puppy that belonged to her boyfriend, Derek Hough's sister. Elizabeth apparently felt so bad she decided to give her a rescue she had brought home from New Orleans.

There are so many things wrong with this scenario it's not even funny. First, last time I checked, if your dog attacked another dog in the state of California it had to be put down. I'm not one to advocate euthanasia, but if you have an agressive dog, it needs to go.

Second, dogs should never be given away as gifts since there's no guarantee the owner will care for it. As someone who started her own dog rescue organization, Shannon should know this, but because she didn't, the pup she gave Katherine is now in need of a loving home.

The mutt somehow ended up with another member of the Hough family, dancer Julianne, who is currently looking for a stable home for the dog.
