Shannon Tweed

Shannon Tweed is a 51-year-old Canadian actress, and model. She's most well known for her parts in mainstream erotica and erotic thrillers. She has also posed for the magazine Playboy numerous times.

Born in St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador. Her father was a mink rancher and she was raised in Whitbourne, Newfoundland on a mink ranch. She graduated form Mount Royal Collegiate in Sskatoon, Saskatchewan, and later found interest in competing in beauty pageants.

In 1977 she was crowned Miss Ottawa Valley and eventuall took fourth place in the Miss Canada pageant.

She starred on the Canadian wish-fulfillment TV series, Thrill of a Lifetime, where it was arranged for her to pose for Playboy. She was the Playmate of the Month for the November 1981 issue, and eventually became the 1982 Playmate of the year. From then on, she focused on acting. She appeared in the HBO comedy 1st and Ten, the prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest and appeared on Frasier and many B-grade movies. She landed a starring role on Days of Our Lives, and remained with the show until 1987.

She has appeared in over 60 films, including Detroit Rock City, where she met Gene Simmons of KISS. They ahve two children together, Nicholas and Sophie, but the pair has never married.
