Shaun is Jack Cassidy's and Shirley Jones's oldest son. His half brother was David Cassidy of The Partridge Family. Shaun started his career as a musician with "Morning Girl". His second single, a cover version of The Crystals' "Da Doo Ron Ron", hit #1 in the United States in 1977

Cassidy then starred opposite Parker Stevenson in the popular The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries television series. He then did a stinty on the soap opera General Hospital before leaving acting and becoming a TV producer.

Have I mentioned I am only 41??? When I was a little girl, from the ages of 10 to 12...I was totally and completely in love with Shaun Cassidy. I was his woman, his one and only...it WAS going to happen. We were going to meet somewhere unexpectedly, and he was going to take one look at me and he would know instantly that I was the woman for him. Even as years passed and his popularity waned...I held these thoughts for years.

A few years ago when my husband was alive, he would go to auditions in LA and San Diego (he was an actor). He was in San Diego one day auditioning for something, and he called me to let me know he would be coming home late. He says, "I'm not sure, but I think I'm auditioning for Shaun Cassidy." I screamed into the phone "WHAT! How can you NOT KNOW who Shaun Cassidy is? Can you see him right now? What does he look like? Are you going to see him again? Will you ask him if he ever got my letters?????" The phone was silent. "Uhhh, honey? I'll be home in a few hours". click. I was 32 years old. (seriously)

Anyway, for grins I looked up Shaun Cassidy on MySpace, and I added him as a friend. I wonder if he'll write to me.
