According to wikipedia.org: Shaun Livingston (born September 11, 1985, in Peoria, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player in the NBA. Livingston plays point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Livingston, who played at Richwoods High School and then went to Peoria Central High School in Illinois, was highly touted as a high school recruit, earning comparisons to the great Magic Johnson. Livingston received a scholarship offer from Duke University, but opted to forego college and enter the 2004 NBA Draft, in which the Clippers selected him with the 4th overall pick in the 1st round.

Livingston, one of the bright young stars of the NBA, suffered a horrific injury monday night on a layup attempt early in the first quarter against the Charlotte Bobcats. Livingston came down awkwardly on his left leg and completely dislocated his kneecap, causing his leg to buckle under him. The video is provided below. The “ Miami Herald ” reported Monday that the Miami Heat may have an interest in free agent guard Shaun Livingston to help them at the point guard position. Livingston is also been rumored to be drawing interest by the Golden State Warriors who will start the season without Monta Ellis. “ The Oregonian ” reported Monday that the Portland Trail Blazers will work out free agent guard Shaun Livingston, in hopes of bringing him into the fold for the upcoming season. Portland is the latest team to show interest in the former Los Angeles Clippers point guard.
