Now, I’ve heard of Shelby Lynne over the years but never took the time to listen to her stuff. Yesterday I came across her most recent album at the Lost Highway Records website; it’s a cover album of songs by Dusty Springfield. Normally I wouldn’t even listen to a cover album but I didn’t realize it was a cover album until I was three or four songs into the album, by then I was hooked.
