Simon's Mom Was Horrified By His 50th Birthday Party Entertainment

Simon Cowell might have turned 50, but that doesn't mean that his mom has stopped being a parent. Simon threw a birthday bash to celebrate his big day in Hertfordshire, England, this weekend and his mom was not too happy about the racy entertainers who graced the stage, especially because she came to the party with her priest friend. Julie Cowell, 82, apparently sat there in disbelief as she watched a performer come out dressed as a woman’s private parts do her thing.

Simon’s friend and publicist Max Clifford told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “It was a brilliant party, some parts of it had an outrageously camp theme. The funniest thing was seeing Simon trying to explain to his mum, who was there with a priest and some of her friends from church. She asked what it was and he told her it was a sideways mouth and a toothbrush but it was very suggestive and it was very clear what it was supposed to be.”

Other guests at the $3 million bash included Kate Moss, Simon’s X Factor judges Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue and his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour. Party-goers were treated to a lavish meal and $350,000 was spent on wine. Instead of presents, Simon asked his family and friends to donate money to children’s hospice charity Chase.
