I’ve recently received many emails from concerned readers asking if all is ok, given that the number of articles being written on Aussie Pete blog has diminished somewhat over the last few weeks. Firstly, thanks to all those who have shown concern… secondly, the observations are quite correct. I’ve gone through quite a rough patch lately (and serious), as a result of years of sporting activity and injuries catching up with me. As we age, recovery time increases after a rough and physical... Read Full Story
After a four-month long journey, the time is finally upon us. Tomorrow night will see Singapore’s top bloggers gathering in what will probably be the ‘blogging event of the year’. The winners of omy.sg’s Singapore Blog Awards 2009 will be revealed on the night at the swanky Supperclub . Guest of Honour, Mr George Yeo... Read Full Story

Well seeing 'ordinary' naked people riding pushbikes may not be quite as much eye candy, but it does certainly raise the awareness of cycling safety and environmental issues. These are the causes that... Read Full Story
Some time ago, Aussie Pete blog reached a milestone and had a ‘make-over’. I think the time has come again for a bit of a facelift, but I will wait until after the OMY Blog Awards ceremony is over and judging completed. As I reflect on the excitement I felt when I reached the 10K readers per month, it seems I take the high traffic for granted these days – although I obviously have a strong desire to continue building quality traffic. Last time, I showed statistics on the site that I had... Read Full Story
Since relocating to Singapore, I've been interviewed many times on a variety of subjects - from what life is like for a foreigner in Singapore to my experiences of being an expat blogger. The interviews have taken many forms - online video, newspaper and even a spot on local international TV in Shanghai. It's quite obvious to all my readers, that for the last month or so, I've been actively supporting the ' Gateway to Singapore ' website ( www.sg ) which is run by MICA (Ministry of... Read Full Story
To most people who have lived in Singapore for some time, this is nothing new. It is certainly nothing new to me, but today I feel fed up enough to raise the issue on my blog. Before I started writing this article, I searched on google images as I usually do to find any appropriate or relevant pictures. To my surprise, I found a couple of articles covering this topic dating back to last year on popular Singapore news websites. Furthermore, I noticed that the articles quoted 'Shop n Save...
