Never Imagined that i wd be seeing SIVAJI on the first day. I was trying to get tickets of the movie, two weeks prior to its release. Tickets were already sold for three weeks. My brother got some friends who managed to get me a ticket in a cheap theatre in Poonamalle(outskirts of chennai). Ofcourse there was no A/C. The show was a special preview which was scheduled at 9-00AM today(june 15 07). We were asked to come by 7:30AM itself, as there were no seat numbers marked on the tickets. We have to find any seats that is available.


We reached the theatre by 7:30AM. I could see The Super Star's die-hard fans decorating the entire complex with large hoardings and cutouts of their Celluloid hero. We parked our bike, and marched towards the theatre. I was shocked to see a long QUEUE, which starts from the entrance of the theatre and goes around the whole theatre complex. We were at the end of a mile long queue. At 8:30am we were allowed to enter the premesis. I could a police battalion force was posted aroud the Theatre complex. We entered the screening room. Rushed to grab a seat and was able to hunt a seat for me. There was no A?C, the room was too hot and humid as it was summer. After 15 mins the movie started.

Fans of the great hero started to shout and the room was filled with a big comotion. Movie starts with the Classical AVM logo and the AVM's 60 years logo. To my surprise Rajinikanth's "Superstar" logo is completely changed. It was completely digitalised, far better than the previous logo and even the music(the music bit from the movie "ANNAMALAI") was also changed with SHIVAJI's music(ATHIREDE).


::::::ABOUT THE MOVIE::::::

To tell u about the movie, there are lots of "FLAWS" and "POSITIVES" in the movie Sivaji.
I was dissapointed with the Great hero's classical introduction. In earlier movies of Rajni, Directors concentrate more in Introduction footage to fulfill Rajni's fan's needs. But in Sivaji, there was no special care was taken in introduction, which would break hearts of lakhs of Rajni's fans. But the next scene gives a proper introduction of Sivaji(too late).

For first 1:30 hrs. you will laugh ass loud. The comedy was well done by Vivek(mama- inthe movie) and Rajni (Sivaji)himself. The scene i liked was, When sivaji was surrounded by a rowdy team, Sivaji was about to say a punch dialogue. But vivek stops Sivaji and tells him, There are lots of young heroes and all of them are giving a punch dialogue, so, this time i will say a punch dialogue...and he continues with lots of punch dialogues as " chennai a thandna Katpadi - sivaji adicha nee dead body" "Sachin adicha Sixer-Sivaji adicha nee puncher" and more. Pattimandram,- Raja and Salamon Papayya has done a great job with their comedy. Trust me guys the comedy in this movie was never before in Rajni's earlier movies. Suman scores good in his villian role. His body languge, costumes and dialogues are top notch. Rajni has done new style in this movie like bouncing a bubble-gum from his hands to his mouth, which is worth watching and better than his classical cigarette style.

The next 1 1/2 hr. is full of masala stuff. The "Adiradhe" side of sivaji. Of course there are lots and lots of masals stuffs, what would you expect in the BIG BOSS movie. Many scenes faraway from logic. The Action part was poorly done, still there are remarkable performances. But personall, i was bit disappointed with the stunts, which were a copy of the hollywood blockbuster "The Matrix". It was the same flaw the director tried to do in his previous project "Anniyan". Dialogues by Sujatha is absolutely fine. Some dialogues includes :" Peir sonna Summa Adhurudhu illa" , the dialogue he speaks to Suman in front of IT office, and more.

This is a good time to mention about the music in this film scored by AR Rehman. AR Rehman comes back with his great work again to blow our minds. The background scores were absolutely mindblowing. The songs - Sahana, Style and Adhirade are excellent. The picturization of the song style and adhirade is exceptional. AR Rehman has proved himself again with his decent work and has done justice to many scenes in the movie with his background music.

The story platform that the director Shankar has chosen is good. This movie is all About the stagnation of black money all over our country and the Hero who comes to India from US after 20 years decides to do some social service by opening a Sivaji foundation, were he can offer free education, Medical care and more for the poor. Being a big shot in the state, Suman is a owner of a big educational institution, who becomes a barrier for sivaji's work. He becomes a permanant nuisense to Sivaji and his foundation. You will see how hard is to do a good thing in our country, in this movie. Sivaji faces all sorts of troubles from the Villan, and decides to change his path to achieve his goal. As you know Shankar is one of the best tamil directors is good in story telling and he has a good message in this movie.

This movie is a mixture of "Indian", "Mudhalvan" and "Anniyan". Apart from the stunts and other flaws, i liked the movie very much. I would recommend to see this movie in theatres only, bcoz this is the first Indian movie to have 4K resolution.This movie is another feather in the director's hat.
