Vail Skier Left Dangling Upside Down, Pants-less

The upside down skier is safely lifted from the lift after dangling for only a few minutes.If you're an avid skier and think you have those tricky lifts down, you should still be cautious. In a bizarre mishap, a 48-year-old man ended up dangling from a ski lift at Colorado's Vail Ski Resort, pants-less.

According to The Smoking Gun, shortly after a man and a young child boarded a high-speed chairlift last Thursday the man was somehow upended when he fell through a gap in the lift's fold down seat. The seat was apparently not in the correct lowered position. His right ski then got jammed in the moving lift and his binding never released, which is why he remained upside down.

If you're confused, don't worry. It seems that this poor man was just a victim of some seriously bad luck. The lift was stopped, and the man dangled there for only 15 minutes or so, before Vail personnel backed the lift up and saved him from the nude mess he had gotten himself into. But not before giving the mountain a pasty, white show.
