Generally less than 300 pixels wide, and have mini fonts to match. Organization fiends will generally adore these skinny layouts, due to the clean sleek look, and the option to place everything “just so”. Clean, organized, cute, and sometimes sexy. These layouts serve the purpose of being clean and organized, and generally cutesy. Why would anyone want a layout that is all scrunched up and hard to read? Because its clean. They usually have tiny miniature modules that are less than half of the size of original sized layouts. It is important to note that they are amazingly wonderful for organization purposes. The small modules force you to keep everything clean and concise, instead of misplaced. Small fonts are hard for some people to see and read, but that doesn't stop anyone from using a Skinny Layout.
