Is Tweetmeme on the roll? According to Compete.com, the site had over 14 Million visitors in August; this is a phenomenal 550x increase compared to just 6 months ago and significantly steeper growth than Digg at the same evolution phase. So this makes me wonder if Tweetmeme is the natural evolution of media, and a logical successor to Digg (web 2.0) and the mainstream sites?
At 14 Million users, Tweetmeme is roughly half the size of CNN.com, but that won’t be for long. If it continues to grow at this pace, it will be larger than CNN within 6 months.
