Songs in the Raw - It just keeps going!!!!!

Just in case you thought that I was joking about this "Songs in the Raw" deal, I AINT JOKING!
I posted two more songs this weekend that I think came out pretty cool. The first song is called "86'd By Dinner Time" and it's about a waitress running away with a short order cook. I've worked in restaurants for my whole life and it finds it's way into a song every now and then. Check it out at Jon Roniger – Songs in the Raw – MySpace Page.
I'd like to clarify a line in the chorus. The line goes "I heard you fire table nine". I worked at a place where there was no table nine. When one of the guys in the kitchen wanted to let the other guys on the staff know that an attractive woman had just walked in the place, they would yell "Fire table nine!" I don't know why I'm telling you this. Maybe it's so that you'll think it's as funny as I do when you here it in the song.

I think that this is one of my favorite songs that I've ever written. It's no "Let it Be" or "Bridge Over Troubled Water", but it just really feels good to me. It sort of came out of a tribute to the song "Sugar Mountain" by Neil Young in combination with a line that I used to use when I was working in a bar. I used to say "this place would be great if it wasn't for the customers." The line in the song goes "this place would be great if it wasn't for those humans."
These two songs complete "Songs in the Raw Vol.3" which will be available in a few days. I'll have it available in MySpace as well as here.
