Talk about songs that you've written and songs that you love. What is it about music that moves you? What was the inspiration behind music you've written? How have certain songs effected you?
Many people get relaxed in many ways after the tedious job. Everybody wants to relax with some or the other thing like sitting in the garden give pleasure to somebody, some people go out with the family or friends, some people like to listen to music, some people like to take rest, and some people like to watch movies or enjoy with the family in different way. But most of the people like to listen to music or to create songs of their own.

I've hit a wall! I've got like 3 songs that are just music, but my brain can't put together the lyrics. I've actually been writing a lot, but I'm just not happy with what's ending up on the page. So, I've pulled up one of my favorites that hasn't ended up on any records yet. It's a cool song that sounds really nice as a "Raw" tune. The song is called "Man and Guitar". I was talking with my cousin who is a visual artist. We were at one of her shows and we were discussing where her inspiration... Read Full Story
I have added one “song details” page for Always There , and will eventually create one for every song. This should provide a centralized spot for everything about each song: Lyrics, Info, Guitar Tabs, Visual, and a method to Submit Fan Content. Not to mention, links to download the MP3, buy the song and/or make a donation to a starving artist. The song details will all be clickable for each song on the downloads page.

The older I get, the more I learn about important preventive things you can and should do to take care of your body. When playing an instrument this is especially important because playing is a very repetitive activity and can cause injuries if you are not careful.
One area of big concern for guitar players is the shoulders. Whether you’re playing a Stratocaster, a Les Paul or I think even more so with an acoustic guitar, such as my Martin, it is a problem. This is equally true to... Read Full Story
Now Available for Review is the Intro to Music Dials Video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtoMMS5kdRE Hey fellow musicians… Ron Greene here, There are a lot of decent music theory books, tapes etc. on the market these days, and many of them provide good technical content. However, most of the information in them seems to lack specific details that otherwise, really never get you to the point of playing your instrument. For example, music theory publications do a good job of explaining Key... Read Full Story
It’s simple really. Some live music provides:
An hour of happiness in probably what seems like an eternity of pain and loneliness. (Remember - These are people who are often there against their will (for their own good and safety), who have lost their home, possibly lost a spouse, and have lost their health [...]

I feel like I've been away for a while. I don't even remember how long it's been...a couple of weeks, I guess. But, I am very happy to be back in the saddle. I recorded a song last week called "Feel Good". It's a song that I wrote a while ago, but hasn't made it to the public yet. I wanted to get it out of my head and into the world. So, you can head over to Jon Roniger – Songs in the Raw – MySpace Page and give it a ride. This week's entry is called "Maybe the Night (Maybe the Fear)". I... Read Full Story
Now this is really scarry. It’s like a scene out of 1984. It is becoming a very controlled, observational, “no-no” world that we live in. If the existing airport security procedures, including “Whole body scans” is not humiliating and frustrating enough, now the government has the power to search and seize your computer, iPod, cell phone or any other electronics it finds suspicious. Who is to judge what you have belongs to you or not? What can be done?

Ok, OK, I know it's been a while since we last talked, but life can do that to you some times. I have been busy, though, writing and posting the songs on Jon Roniger – Songs in the Raw – MySpace Page . You can and should just check in there form time to time to see what's happening in my musical world.
Let me take a step back and tell you about the last couple of songs that I wrote.
"Southern Fried Women" is my first attempt at a country song. I throw in a few references to Bar-B-Q... Read Full Story
It's The Holidays again and I am always reminded of family. Oysters Rockefeller at my grandmother's Christmas party. Turkey, gravy, stuffing and eggnog oozing from my pours. I always think of Bourbon around this time of year. A good dark liquor on the rocks and a the air so cold that you can see your breath as you wet your lips with the alcoholic nectar. Scarfs and overcoats make a nice addition to the Holiday wardrobe of suits and Santa hats. The Holidays also remind me of family feuds... Read Full Story
