War

As a former servicemember, I realize that war is the enforcement of governmental policy. Without millions of men sufferings and many dying in World War 2, Hitler (A willing pawn of Satan!) would of eventually conquered the world. But why do they happen? What is the heart of the matter. James 4:1-3 From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. So instead of asking and receiving by prayer and righteous requests, (Matthew 7:1-12) men simply desire to fulfill the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes (1John 2:15-17). Well what is the God's solution then? Galatians 5:16-25: [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. How does one get the Spirit of God then? By grace and faith, Eph 2:8-10.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God. we can't work our way to heaven rather we believe and obey states James again in 2: 18-20: Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? So in spite of the fact many say believe only (without resulting works to prove our faith (Even though it is required, see Hebrew 11:1-11) Our faith saves us, Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned". Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord (Jesus is Lord of all, Acts 10:36). So we need to be baptized into the death, burial, and rising of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Col 2:12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. So even as Jesus our example (Matt 3:12-17 and Hebrews 4:15) in all walked 70 miles to do so. Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. He requires us to be baptized in water to receive the spirit, John 3:5. We also will gain the spirit and have our name written in the book of life, Revelations 20. For God alone gives lasting peace, Isaiah 26:3-4. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 of wars and rumors of them in the last days, prior to his return. Essentially the enemy of all mankind  is out to stir up confusion and every evil work, as he knows his time is limited. Everyone has the right of self defense. But to agressively seek out your neighbor's goods and take them by force, is condemned throughout all the bible. The problem with mankind is inwardly and not outwardly, as many suppose. God will supply your every need through Jesus Christ our lord, Phil 4:19. Not our wants. Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD. So we can be Divinely protected from our enemies, even as Solomon was in his days. Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. God does nothing in vain and tells his servants beforehand. God give us all peace and his light, to enlighten all, for his praise and glory.
