APPOINTMENTS: Elizabeth Hinkle has been named chief development officer for Youth Haven. She will be responsible for planning, developing and leading Youth Haven’s fundraising initiatives. She has experience in grant writing, stewardship and major gifts work. Hinkle volunteers as the director of the Erasmus Collegiate Institute and currently serves on the Everglades chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Ken Buschle, head of quality control for Gora/McGahey Architects, has been elected secretary of the U.S. Green Building Council, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. The chapter serves an 11-county area on the west coast from Citrus County to Collier County and its mission is to lead the region toward sustainability by encouraging and advancing environmental knowledge.
