To be saved must imply there's something that is dangerous, of which we are saved from. Now man is a credulous animal and desires belief in something. Why so, you ask. No baptism, no matter the method used, is effective without your faith states Hebrews 4:2, Mark 16:16, and Jemes 2:19-26. Many churches use a trinity type of name (A non biblical tradition that stems back to Justin Martyr 90-165 AD, who altered the wording) called over the person being baptized, and often they are sprinkled with water instead of overwhelmed in a liquid (As by definition baptism or "Baptizo", means to overwhelm or dip in water).
