We are commanded to be spiritually minded in Romans 8. Isa 26:3-4 states when we keep our mind on God alone, that we trust him and remain in perfect peace. many people want a spirit filled walk with God. Yet those same people do not have enough faith to obey baptism. As it is commanded by Jesus in Mark 16:16, in his name (Luke 24:47). We live in a society today which is dominated by self-help books and self-improvement guides promising to increase the quality of your life in such-and-such way, or your money back! What’s going on? I've been prompted this morning to wake up early and have my breakfast at a local bakery (Panera Bread). Fall is my favorite time of the year. I live in Central Illinois where despite the cold winters, I enjoy the succession of the seasons. If I lived in a place where the seasons never changed, I imagine I would be stricken with a sort of grief.
